Our History

Encouragement Incorporated began in 1990 as a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization in accordance with the IRS regulations.  Therefore, all donations are tax-deductible for the individual and corporate donors.  The organization began as a means to equip and educate individuals to discover and develop their gifts and talents to build fulfilling and meaningful lives.

The projects to assist orphans in Africa began in 2000 as a result of a team visiting Zambia and seeing the masses of hurting and hopeless orphans  in Africa.  The work in Kenya began in December 2004 with the first training seminars conducted on the Kenya/Uganda border town of Nambale.   In May 2005 the organization purchased a 12,000 sq. ft. building in Webuye, Kenya which now serves as the headquarters for our Kenya operation.

There are presently 3 children's homes operated  by our organization in Kenya and Uganda caring for and serving 300 orphans.
