Encouragement Center of Kenya
Encourgement Children's Home began as a result of Vic Rader's visit to Kenya in 2004. As he became aware of the dire needs of the street orphans who were abandoned and abused, a plan evolved to rescue the young under-age-five orphans. Financial assistance was offered to those who were attempting to care for these precious children. In May 2005 the Encouragement Inc. organization purchased the above 23 bedroom hotel and began to renovate, staff and equip the facilities to take in orphans and also become the headquarters for the Encouragement Centers of Kenya.
Today there are 47 orphans and a staff of ten. Many community leaders received training through the programs of the Encouragement Center.
